Advice on new speakers

I am thinking about getting the Pioneer SP-BS21. It's pnsale now at amazon for $80

I currently do have an amp so I was thinking of getting the LP-2020A

I am completely ignorant on this subject so any advice would be appreciated. I would like to keep it in this general price range and still get the best audio possible.

For 80 bucks, I picked up some Polk RTA8's off clist.. they blow my pioneer bs41's out of the water, to be honest... and they are much easier to drive.

The bs41's are a pain to drive. The bs21's, I'm not sure on.

 

Moral of the story, research vintage speakers, hit up craigslist daily for a bit.. Find some gold. At this price budget, vintage seems to always win.

That's a really good deal on those. Nice speakers smily_headphones1.gif

I used to have some Paradigm Phantoms that were over 10 years old. Gave them to my neighbor when I upgraded. Used is a good way to get some great speakers.

To the OP: what's your max budget for the whole setup? And what's your listening preferences? Rock? Indie? EDM? Rap? Or is this for gaming and movie watching on a computer?

They are practically new too. I demo'd them for about 30 seconds and bought them on the spot.
