Hopefully we never get it because people say some really harsh stuff on them.

Haha well we will see how it sounds. I'm not too interested TBH because I'm slowly fading away from IEMs and focusing more on other things

Random thought:

- We could mark the first hour as "quiet listening time".  So ie. those loud mouths can show up at 2pm instead of 1pm.

Second Random Thought:

- individual members (not businesses) could "sponsor" hours (or half-hours) of the meet if we need to pay.  That makes it clearly non-commercial, non-profit.

If we can do a separate quiet room, I can ask if DHC and Chris Himself can sponsor a couple hours for us.

Maybe could do 1 gcca (for quiet listening) and 1 Maple room cause I don't think more than 30 people will show up (lakewood is pretty big).

It's big but it's spacious for people to just chill in, walk around, talk. gcca is so small. Maple is ok. I was hoping to not go for 1 gcca 1 maple cuz they're on different floors. Either 2 Maples, or 1 gcca and 1 lakewood, or 2 gcca. $40 vs. $60 per hour.

This. Down for covering the first 2 hours if the club thing does not work out.

I think 2 GCCA rooms would be nice, since the rooms are nicer (more natural lighting and wide-open feel if anyone cares), you wouldn't have to lug stuff upstairs (they do have an elevator though :p).

The majority says April 28th right now. Will wait until one reaches 12 as a rule of thumb.

2 GCCA eh? Alright. Peter and Chris should be posting soon.

^^ Ask if they'd crank out the new $999 flagships I saw on the DHC website. very_evil_smiley.gif Mighty pruddy jump-rope cable there.

I'd like to contribute $80 for renting the rooms. I may increase this donation depending on how my finances/business in the upcoming months allow, but it's safe to say that you will definitely have this amount contributed to your fund. Have a good meet guys and please enjoy yourselves. :)

I appreciate the opportunity to help guys out even if they're not within the great nation of America lol (inside joke between me and GG)

:D if we need be "nonprofit" Chris can just randomly gift me 80 bucks and then I can just pay up with my account. :D

Thanks so much Chris, one day I'll get you that shirt.

Size: XL (I'm in that weird transitional phase between kind of chubs and actually getting fat.

You dudes are welcome, I went to my first meet a few weeks ago, had a blast, met some cool people (some people I consider head-fi celebrities!), listened to great gear, but mostly it was cool just to see everybody set up their own table. Honestly Head-Fi can be an amazing place which can be enjoyed at your depth of involvement. Even as an MOT, I'm still somewhat detached socially here since I don't have the time to post as much as I'd like, but the people I've met so far over the years have been great friends so I'd just like to give back to the community in whatever way I can.

(Seriously though, that shirt rules)

Yeah.. awkward phase, tsk tsk. Wish we had big shots here to display Stax and Apex and EC stuff.
