ADV - Adventure Series from Westone

6.5 mm dynamic driver with "PSI"

Removable cable - iPhone friendly

There is still very little information available but I've found these links:

http://technoodling.net/technoodling-ces-2013-westone/

This video shows them briefly at the 42 second mark:

For devices not support embedded youtube videos:

Edit: found more pictures here:http://www.techpowerup.com/live/CES_2013/Westone.php
Looks like a cloth cable as well.

Very interesting, I never thought they would ever do dynamic-based, looking forward to the first impression

very nice, look forward to knowing more!

Apparently the new ADV uses MMCX cable connection instead of the usual Westone-style 2-pins :/

Am I sensing major manufacturers' massive exodus to MMCX?

*edit*

And I'm pretty sure it's double dynamic transducer set-up--I just can't remember where did I read that information.

Looks like a quite interesting IEM honestly. Waiting to hear some more info about it.

Looks like everyone wants to get in on the micro driver action (Sony Ericsson MH1c, Yamaha EPH-100, JVC FXD/FXZ/FXT series, TDK IE800, Audio-Technica ATH-CKN50, etc.).

I can already tell these will probably be the most ergonomic of the micro-driver based IEMs.

Also I think the code for the video is wrong or something because I'm on a PC and can't see the embedded video, whereas I can see it embedded just fine in this thread.

It sounds like the Adventure series, or ADV, is to be a rugged iem:

Westone is a powerhouse in the world of high-end custom-fit in-ear monitors and universal-fit earphones, but up to this point almost all of the firm’s products have been based on balanced armature-type drivers. With its new ADV “adventure” earphones, however, Westone has launched its first-ever dynamic-driver equipped product and one that promises to deliver Westone-grade sound quality in a semi-ruggedized earphone that can safely be used in environments where less sturdy ‘phone would be apt to fail (or would be prone to damage).

It said $199 didn't it? I think it seems like a more (mainstream) consumer oriented product, but who knows :)
