The ear pinna and canal have a frequency response of their own, to match how we hear (think Etymotic tuning). Have a look in here http://www.grasinfo.dk/documents/pd_43AG_ver_10_september_2012.pdf

I just find it curious that your HE400 measurements are the only ones where the upper midrange is not visibly recessed. Not calling the compensation wrong, just saying it is definitely quite different from InnerFIdelity or [N/A].

Well, I haven't actively done any compensation, so it's out of my hands I'm afraid.

Here's a set of measurements I did on my AD700s last year, if you want to see another example of results from the system used.

My first jerg pad. Tell me what you think and if any improvements are needed?

Looks great, better than mine!

All those measurements are cool! I can't wait to see a competed jergpad V2 and a J$ comparison.

For the back-vent minimod, anyone knows how thick the tape stacks should be? I think different tapes have different thicknesses because my stacks look way thinner than in jerg's pics.

I'd say about 1/8'' or 2mm. Edited first post to include that info.

Is pleather bleachable?

Okay, thanks. Also, when putting pads back into headphones, where should be the backvent stacks positioned (pointing in which direction..)?

Gotcha. I have no comfort issues with the stock earpads. Have a skinny head I guess.

The comfort issue with the foam ring is independent from your head size; it just compresses the earpad foam because it is tucked in, so the earpads become less plush even if you aren't wearing them.
