This. P5 aren't overall bad - they're well built, they sound fine, they have nice features, they isolate well, etc - but they're not nearly $400 of sound. The majority of that price is for the B&W name, the Apple-friendly build, and so on. I like ESW9 better as a "luxury headphone" - more comfortable, more open/airy (less congested), better bass, better mids, and they tend to cost less. The only thing the P5 do better is isolation, but if you really need isolation for $300-$400, you're very much into good ANC territory, or IEM territory, so I just don't see the "gotcha" with the P5 unless you really love their style.
