Possible upgrade to Vmoda M80?

Looking for an over ear upgrade to the vmoda m80. Budget is around $400. That does not mean I WANT to spend $400, but I will if need be (the cheaper the better!) I will be driving these unamped from an iPhone 5, so an iPhone control pod is nice, but not needed. I want something with a touch more bass than the M80 and in a more comfortable form factor (the M80 hurt like a bear trap!) However, I became adicted to the nice, wide soundstage of the M80. So far, I have narrowed my choices to as follows

 

VModa M100 (Worried about comfort, but willing to give Vmoda a second chance)

Sennheiser Momentum (lovin those cushy earpads!)

Denon D2K (What I'm leaning towards currently, but worried about the iPhone not being able to drive them)

 

Still very open to suggestions!

 

BTW the Sony XB1000 are out. Those earpads look freaking ridiculous

I vote the Momentums.  They are wonderfully made and have some definite bass.  The bass is too much on both the Mememtum and M80 for my ears, but for you the change in comfort will be huge.

The one issue I have with the Momentums is that they have been described as refined and laid back, but I will be listening to a lot of fast paced Electronica and DnB.

Do not confuse laid back for sluggish.  I think they will work well with electronica and I did not find them to be too laid back like the HD-650.

yeah, I'm defenitely looking at the Momentums now, (espically the black ones! beyersmile.png) but I still see people hating on them left right and center, saying they have harsh mids and not enough detail in the bass.
