Question about pre-emphasis

I have a FLAC copy of the Toshiba/EMI black triangle Abbey Road that has already has already had the de-emphasis applied to it for ease of computer listening. I was wondering if I convert the FLAC files to ALAC to play in itunes/ipod if the de-emphasis will remain with the files or if it will be stripped in the process. Thanks!

Itunes does automatic De-emp, You use to be able to select it, now it's auto..   If you are going to convert use XLD as your ripper.

It should keep the files the same.  At least coming from the cd..

Thanks for your reply. I do not have the cd now. Someone de-emphasized the files for me while ripping to FLAC. I'm not sure what method they used to de emphasize the files. My question is if I convert those FLAC files to ALAC using XLD if the ALAC files will still have the DE EMPHASIS that was applied to the FLAC files. I play music through my computer and I want to make sure the ALAC will remain de emphasized for that reason.
