I don't know how you guys will have time to listen to all this music smily_headphones1.gif

Somebody please buy his AD2000X, quick! biggrin.gif

I would if I had the money...

On a more serious note, how many people are we expecting so far? Is the room big enough? Looking at the size of the table on earlier pictures, I won't be surprised if some people ended up occupying 2 seats for their gear (not me, though).

Also, does the facility has free access for public? Not trying to say anything bad, but imagine what is the total worth of stuff in the room. biggrin.gif If the number of people attending is large enough and given that most of us don't know each other, I think it won't be too hard for people to sneak into (or out from) the room.. And of course we all want to walk around and try stuff, not just to sit and watch for our gear, right?

Just my 2 cents..

Yeah, it was a difficult decision, but I keep end up going back to my K702 65th Anniversary, and I got a decent deal on the HD-800 and the seller let me put a deposit down to hold it for me.  I worked it up in my mind that AD2000X was going to blow away my K702 65th but I was wrong.  I think you guys will be very surprised with the K702 65th.  And I wasn't a huge fan of my old K701.

Is it different from the regular K702?

Well, If the regular K702 is more or less the same as the K701 then yes.  The K702 65th has significantly more bass and smoother less sparkly highs.  It's very well balanced and non fatiguing.  Probably like what the HD650 is to the HD600.  Same great soundstage, but to me a little more focused and coherent.  It's great with a wide variety of music, especially EDM.

Well, for the issue of people stealing... Name tags? Checklist of expected people + tag-alongs? Maybe a bouncer? Pack C4 into the equipment to dissuade theft? Common courtesy? Print off the first comment in this thread, use it as a ticket?

Yeah I was thinking maybe asking people to PM their real name (+ whoever coming along) and making name tags may make a cheap solution. Plus it is easier to get to know each other!

I was just gonna suggest people put their screen name (avoid double names just in case) as a name tag and then tape their screen name on their equipment. Duct tape it. I feel like that's an acceptable solution because you can always reintroduce yourselves if others can't remember your actual name haha tongue.gif

For music, I'm going to just bring every lossless file I can find. The only thing that wouldn't would be my jazz playlist. Gotta keep it simple and clean for maximum enjoyment.

In other news, what is everyone bringing in terms of music? I'm going to have genres that range from j-pop to doom metal. biggrin.gif

I have quite a few albums to bring along. I listen to a very wide range of music. Some albums are as follows:

Vicious Delicious; Infected Mushroom (Psytrance)

The Mechanical Renaissance; Psyborg Corp. (Harsh/EBM)

Nostril; Igorrr (no idea, lots of influences)

Ethernaut; The Cruxshadows (Darkwave)

And quite a few others as well as random songs from my collection, ranging from Melodic metal, to dubstep, to classical, and a whole lot in between. This hard drive is gonna be working overtime at the meet.

Oh, and add a Grado RS2i to the list of headphones; my friend is lending me his for a while. I'll also bring a couple of old 4AAA drivers for fun.

Sorry for the double post, but I have a few questions. Someone earlier mentioned about putting their gear at a table, does this apply to everyone? Do you put your gear at a table then walk around? Or is that only if you have a amp or other setup? I just have M-100's and RE-262's which all work out of an ipod or other setup so I really don't need a table. Would I bring my stuff with me and just walk around then?

Haha sorry total head-fi meet noob here guys blink.gif
