I tried out the ie-fc, but one channel was dead on the two I tried, got my money back

Did you buy them used? Could have been from people rough-handling them. I got a pair of ES-FC300s used that had that issue, and I think it might have more to do with the poor connector. Not that I'm trying to defend the MMCX choice, just trying to pinpoint this issue.

New, the store only had 2, so tried what I could

I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and say you didn't ruin the connector by trying to jam it in, if only because I'm bitterly opposed to that design. :(

Mmcx is certainly a pain

had a third listen today. I don't think I will find a pair of headphones anytime soon which has bass which appeals so much to me, and I'm not even a bass lover.

that being said, I have decided in a toss up that I will give the mikros 90 a shot instead. they seem to fit my SS preferences better.

I'm going to sell both the es-hf300 and ie-hf300 at the deal price I got them for, which is $90 and $70 respectively + shipping. preferably id like to sell both in one go. HTT gets first dibs cos his review really helped me out.

PM me it you're interested!

It's a very special bass, why they've found a place in my arsenal. Picked up the second pair of the violet FC300 (as mentioned above) and have plugged in my HF300 cable to them. Have been burning them in for about 15 hours so far and they're starting to round out quite nicely.

Got mine a week ago, used them for a few times only and I really like them a lot. The bass is really something and that is not even fully burned in. Very easy to drive, wonder why they are not more popular.

Cheers,

K

This isn't getting any easier guys :frown: Someone please pan them instead of hype them pleaseeee.

Anyway guys, whoever wants either/both of my Onkyos, please do it within 15 days because that's when my free storage period expires.

Keep in mind that some people have had classifieds posted for a month. I tried selling my X05s a while back and never could. Came close, too.

It is an amazing deal for it though, makes me wish I had held out on buying my FC, I didn't even get it on sale, I just saw it and caved.  But I REALLY wanted purple :)

Anyone know if the pads on these are replaceable? Looks like it, but Onkyo doesn't sell replacement pads on their website. I'm not willing to try and find out for myself unless I know for sure.

I asked them on twitter. Also want to know as I have the white version and I assume it could potentially get quite ugly after some time....

They're kind of over ear.  The wierd pad size prevents me from venturing.
