I'm trying to choose between ALAC and FLAC, I've heard that FLAC is supported by more devices but ALAC can save quite a bit of space. Is ALAC supported on phones e.g. HTC One X?
Skamp is correct. That flac is wav size so it may be somethng called 'uncompressed flac' and not representative of normal flac. Size difference between different compression ratios of lossless codecs amounts to less than 10% and flac is one of the more effecient ones
