PS.. older HD228 had quite deep bass, strange that similiarly priced newer HD219 lacks it when actually it should be targeted at it... Try to extend headband and let them lay on lower part of your ears, the sound on these greatly depends on how you wear them...

And if it won't be enough, before wasting your money, try to EQ them, these HP's are not the ones which are crying for AMP...

Yep I did both of which you told me, they both helped slightly. Those JVC headphones look nice. Thanks.

Hey guys, I realize this forum is for mainly audiophiles that like high quality headphones, however I'm not really that picky about sound quality and I don't really care if my headphones are fake.I currently have fake beat pros which I have been using for the last 4-5 years and am happy with.I'm looking into buying the the fake crossfade LPs because the cups on the beats are starting to peel off.Can someone compare the sound quality of the fake crossfade LPs to the fake Beats pro?

Thanks

Sorry, but what is there about that word "fake" that is so appealing to you?

Buy something real. There are plenty of decent $30-50 HPs out there that are actually made by the people who know what they are doing.

The thing is that all major brands have Chinese factories and use almost the same if not the exact same parts as the "fakes". I'm all about getting the best bang for my buck. I don't care about brands.I don't think I can get good earbuds for $50 let alone headphones. You will not convince me that fake is worse than original when they cost 1/4 of the price and the quality is probably around 80-90%. The fugazi's are probably V-MODA's way of tricking ppl into buying their "real" headphones. They make them in the same factory but don't put an extra plug on one end. All I'm asking for is for someone's opinion on the fake LPs.

There is a huge difference between simply using workforce in X country and developing, designing, testing and giving full quality control to X country. So no, first of all they are definitely not made in the same factory (I bet not a single part is the same), secondly, fakes have close to none quality control, and most importantly - they don't care about SQ. Well they may care about the bass, but that's it - muddy, dark, boomy, narrow, recessed sound.
That's it, I'am done here.

I'd go with fake HD800s
