Wow, that's a big endorsement for the MV1. I would like to audit one of these myself If I see them. I did check out their international shipping and was using KSC75 as example the shipping fee came out to be more than $20. That's 20% if a headphone cost $100.

 

There is a distributor here and there are some retail stores that sell Koss products the choice are however limited. I think more people are familiar to even Skullcandy brand than the brand Koss. They should definitely do better in their channel coverage.

Wait their international shipping is scaled to the item cost, and not based on weight? That's...bizarre. frown.gif

Even in the US has relatively little mainstream presence - some of their models are sold at major retailers but they tend to be relegated to the bottom shelf in the back corner kind of thing; compared to brands like Skullcandy that have prominent endcaps and lots of marketing. Koss is just kind of a bizarre company - they do generate marketing material (unlike Grado or STAX, for example), but they don't seem to do anything with it. confused_face_2.gif

About the shipping, very likely they are base on volumetrix size rather than weight. I ever purchase a laptop bag from amazon and the courier bill me $200 for shipping. The air in the box cost more than the merchandize...

Sheesh. That's just horrible.

The MV1 are relatively compact in their packaging, FWIW, but they're not "light" (neither the headphones nor their box).
