The 002 would still be interesting to try although I cannot stand anything that is to be stuck inside my ears. Gotta be on top.

maybe i'll be able to do it with the 407 and SRM-252S amp.  gotta say though, selling Stax is really only a hobby.  i'm going to lose a lot of money selling the in-the-earspeakers

 

...and, the HE-500 went out to the first person today.  The HE-400 will go out later this week when I get a new shipment from HiFiMAN.  The LCD-2 will go out once I have confirmation that Audeze has shipped my latest order.

I think it's been said a few times, but I really appreciate you doing this, Justin, along with all the trust it entails. Will definitely write lengthy impressions, hopefully it will help out other newb-fi's!

Why is that? Are you really taking a loss on each sold?

You really should consider trying those. bigsmile_face.gif Hope you realize how good the Stax portables sound and what the new SR-002 are being compared to in their full sized lineup.

I would be that first person, they arrived via FedEx this morning and I'm listening to them now (Hilary Hahn playing The Lark Ascending) and absolutely loving them.  I have a pair of HD-650s coming from Amazon tomorrow and I'm tempted to return them and pay the extra for the HE-500s now.  If not, I think these will be my next purchase for sure.

 

Huge thanks to Justin for doing this, it's awesome to be able to hear a future purchase on my own equipment in my normal listening environment.

I believe as of now I am the only Canadian on the list to demo pair of any of the headphones since I'm lucky to live so close to the border, I'm going to receive and ship them in the US. But hey jtinto, it's not all bad, you got Bay Bloor Radio, they have that really nice Peachtree amp set up and they'll let you demo anything including IEM's. I hope something like this does come to Canada in the future though, good for other people and makes it easier for me.

pretty close.  i'll be in the red until i sell the last unit in inventory.  but by then i'd have to order more.  so, in the red until I quit selling Stax, i guess :)
