They're nowhere near neutral enough for monitoring.

The M50s aren't really flat.

I own them right now (not for much longer) I cant stand them to be honest. Too much bass for my taste. I don't enjoy many genres with them (Hip-Hop & Electronic). I need something that either has a focus on the mid-range or at least something that doesn't forget about it.
