The NEW ATH-ES700.. - Page 52

I've read an opinion from a trusted source that the ES700 compares SQ-wise quite favourably to the KEF M500. High praise indeed!

Haha my trusted source says it the other way around, the kef comes near the ball park of the 700 ha tongue.gif
Remember the sizes of the drivers here.
For big cans its not as important, but for portables you cannot get away from "size matters"..
Edit:
I mean the 42mm driver over most other portables at 40mm maximum

Either way, the ES700 is one of the top performers of the year so far that I've heard anyway.  It's midrange is still the sweetest and better tuned than any other AT can so far this year.

Yes the es700 was so good I moded it by placing the drivers in an esw9 and was just wowed by yet even more detail & realism and soundstage but it was still more of a fun can as I now have my best ever portable in the esw11 with esw9 pads.(!)

Anyway the esw11 is like expensive route,
but for the price these es700 simply cannot be beat.
just look at pricejapan website and see it is less than $130 there(!)

I received these yesterday afternoon and pretty much haven't taken them off the whole time I've been awake.  The detail and clarity is amazing on these phones...so much so that they are quickly becoming my favorite on ears.  As others have mentioned, the ear pads are not the most comfortable but I ordered some the recommended replacements so all should be good.

Have you try lowyat.net forum. You can try ask from seller named gshoppe85 or liquidgal, maybe they can bring in these item because they self import headphone and other accessories IINM.

Guys, IF this ATH-E700 better than Momentum so should it be better than FA-003? If yes, I guess this wil be my next aim. Cheap, portable, and stylish... And seems like not focus at one genre... Hmmm... And which pad is the best to replace the stock one? WS55 or ESW9?

The ES700 is a stellar performer. While I had my review unit I felt it was on par with the some of the best in the portable headphone category.

The ES10 may have the last bit of extra detail but the ES700 is such a great all rounder at a great price.

It deserves more love!

Indeed... Better buy from her rather than self import. But she didn't bring the extra pad? I wish I have extra MYR to spend to get this as a portable headphone. I made up my mind to get Senn HD600 with Aune T1 for home setup. Getting into this hobby and mechanical keyboard killing me slowly.

if you wanted to audition this headphone we can meet up (on holiday ofc, im still a student :( ) or ofc you can go straight to jaben. not sure if they have a unit for audition tho. u will fall in love with these. like seriously hahah. i love it more than my dt770 pro and my ms1i. ms1i is collecting dust now and the dt770 pro only for games and movies.
