I just received the lambskin pads fpr ESW9 but 1 of them is slightly smaller and thinner than the other. Is it normal? I bought them directly from Audio-Technica.

I have 2 pairs, and they do vary a bit! I think since they are hand made, there can be slight differences from pad to pad. Can you post a pic?

I recommend that you purchase the pads directly from Audio-Technica's parts department instead. Just email parts@atus.com and ask about purchasing a replacement set of ESW9 pads (don't mention

they're for the ES700).They charge $36.26 + $4 shipping for them in the US.

Thanks for the reply though i dont live in US. I have contacted with them and they said it wasnt possible for them to send it to my address in Turkey. I think i will stick with the stock pads for now lol

Es500 are great! Good build quality and comfort, and very sleek looking. Soundwise, they are very mid-forward with tight, punchy bass. Treble is smooth but decently detailed. I find that they work best with pop and vocal music.

Looks like going to keep my budget tight, now im between AKGK518, ATH-ES500 and JVC HA 500s, what you guys suggest for electro punk, rave, shoegaze type music?

I'd like thees headphones but I'm looking for something I can toss in my backpack. That likely means I should probably get a hard case if I were to purchase these right? Any idea on a case for these?

Where's all the love for these gone? We're down to about 1 post a week now...

I've got the ES700's with a Forza AudioWorks re-cable & ESW9 lambskin pads and friggin' love 'em!

The only other pair I have in my sights right now are some V-moda M100's, but then all I listen too is EDM etc.

So who still has/uses them regularily and who side-graded/upgraded and if so what to? Results?
