challenge: help me pick an iem

hi guys, i have a dilemma in choosing the perfect iem.

i live in singapore and have a budget of about 250 sgd, which normally falls under the us 150 line :P

 

what im looking for in terms of ranking is:

portability and comfort 

fun sound

the design is also quite important,sorry for those pure audiophiles but i wanna look good also heh, i dont need perfect sound cause i dont use amps

 

i've tried the brainwavz m2, soundmagic pl50 and fischer audio silver bullet

the m2 is my favourite but i feel like i want to go even better

the pl50 has pathetic bass but its the most comfortable

and the silver bullet has the most fantastic sound and soundstage amongst the 3 but is just too bulky

 

ps. i cant obtain any phonak audeo or the FA dba mk2 here so dont bother recommending it

Fun sound, portable, actually designed well aesethetically and $150? my frien you just defined the yamaha eph100.

How about JVC HA-FXZ100? can only be bought from Amazon japan, but I guess it won't be a problem for a Singaporean?

hrmm...

 

Over ear like the se215 and gr07? or traditional straight down like ue700? or straight down only like AT-cks99?

 

Dynamic or BA?

 

Thumpy clean/accurate bass or boomy bass like a 12inch 1,000rms sub is in your ear?

 

More on the highs? or just balanced all around?

 

What kind of music do you normally listen to?

um i think straight down might be nicer but i dont really have a preference, as long as its comfortable

 

well anything as long as the sound is rather good, i heard a single ba driver isnt that good but once the number increases it balances out with good dynamic drivers

 

hmmm accurate and tight would be nice

 

yup! more balanced but maybe good vocals? im not sure whether thats mid or treble

 

well mostly pop and alt. rock like coldplay, ed sheeran, imagine dragons, the script
