JVC's new flagship DX2000? - Page 9

Now I know why there's a price difference. $400 or so for a lovely shiny box and a CD. I can do without the box, but so want the CD. Here look (Wish I can get my hands on that sampler CD feat. Japanese singer Kokia)

As shown in the link below, did they replace those easily broken pieces of plastic on DX1000 with metal on DX2000?

Nope, same plastic on mine, just in a different colour.

My DX1000 had it's headband hinge plastics crack too (after years though). I had to epoxy it all together again. You can
get replacement parts, however, the hinge and faceplate parts does not have a part number to them. :/   I could replace anything I wanted but the silly hinge. Still a very amazing headphone till this day.

Nope, it the exact same headphone. That version comes with the nice shiny box with the JVC K2HD Sample CD featuring Kokia

International certificate and packaging the same too. If you want the version with that 60th anniversary box and sample CD, you can get it from the link below.

It's about $1300 USD though. (I've asked a local woodwork shop to replicate it and they quoted me $200 AUD including english gold lettering)

Mine JVC HA-DX2000 came in yesterday by the way. Globalmedia whatever they're called are horrid to deal with.

FedEx driver dropped off the parcel to my receptionist, she signed it off and within a minute I came down to a parcel that was crushed.

Contacted Globalmedia and FedEx immediately.

Globalmedia didn't bothered helping. All their response was, parcel was signed off in good condition.

Even though I told them I have an unopened crushed parcel and I have security footage.

Told me to deal to FedEx because as far as they're concern it was signed off and delivered in good condition.

Sent FedEx photo of the external and internal damage. They're looking into it. Let the waiting game begin

First photo is how the receptionist saw it as the driver ask for signature to sign off the delivery. Note at this particular angle, everything seem fine.

The next few photo show the extent of the damage. Hinge clip can be put back but very loose. Not sturdy like the other side.

OMG the 3 track that comes with the sample disc is absolutely incredible. DX1000/DX2000 must get their hands on a copy

First track is Ava Maria (Not a fan of this song until I heard Kokia version) bliss!!! Look it up on youtube.

Hey Mach3,

Thanks for your report. So the 30% improved driver is just baloney indeed? I wish you would give a try to a blind testing when someone puts the headphones (DX1k vs. DX2K) on your head from behind so you can't see which one is which. I think that would settle the issue once and for all.

Either way thanks and hope you will enjoy your DX2K though...

So I'm not sure if I got you right, but you have ordered one from globalmedia which has arrived damaged and you have ordered another one, too, from the jvc hongkong site?
