DT990 Alternatives for Canadians?

I can't find any 600ohms DT990s (or 880/770) at 600ohms anywhere online in Canada for under $300. What is a comparable alternative for under $300?

No preference to closed/open. I listen to bassy music; 85% hip hop, 10% electronic, and 5% alternative rock. Bonus points if it's carried by Amazon.ca (I have a giftcard).

Beyer's pricing makes it look like Ohms cost money! Most comparable to the 600-Ohm DT 770, 880, and 990 models are the models with a lower impedance (e.g., 250 Ohms.) Had you considered those? At lease some models of all lines are available under US$300.

I have three answers for you.

1. You can use http://www.shipito.com to buy your DT990 in the USA using amazon.com.

2. I suppose the most similar alternative is the Sennheiser HD600. But the price in Canada is strange because I see that they are sold for just $300 in my favorite store in Russia.

3. Are you sure that sound of these headphones will be acceptable for listening to your favorite electronic music?

amazon.com will ship the DT 990 600 to Canada. Currently from them and not a 3rd party it comes to 380.00 exactly after shipping/duty (~$310 before). However it was a lot lower last month and the price on these things tend to go to maximum MSRP and then slowly drop then repeat.

 

here is the last month

 

 

 

When they go back to the $260 range I will be buying a pair myself from them shipped to Toronto.
