FS: Berning MicroZOTL with rare premium NOS tubes-- PRICE REDUCTION

Price is reduced $50 to $700 total which includes 4 premium NOS tubes and ground shipping to you.

The ZOTL is one of the best headphone amps you can buy, regardless of price. (http://www.davidberning.com/microzotl.htm), for ZOTL details.

This ZOTL is blue and was purchased 8 months ago. She is in absolute mint condition, just nicely burnt in

This is THE amp for the CD3000 (it will floor you), and also outstanding with the HD600. Others report success with ER4S which, although I did not get to hear with the ZOTL, I can only imagine how good the combo would sound.

ZOTL drives any headphone any impedence load (well maybe not AKG K1000 but it would be worth a shot).

I replaced the stock tubes (which will be included of course) with some outstanding premium NOS tubes. Selecting these tubes took hours and hours and hours of research, but I chose the ones that would maximize the ZOTL's performance.

The 12AT7s are my favorite tube ever, the Sylvania Gold Brand from the 60s, purchased from upscale at $85.00 for the pair (including shipping). These are the specially chosen best of the best of Kevin's stock of this 12AT7. They are phenomenal.

The 6SN7s are Sylvania 6SN7W's short bottle, chrome top, brown base variety that are becoming virtually impossible to get. This is a military-grade 6SN7, made to last under harsh conditions. The only way I was able to afford these was that www.tubeworld.com, another reliable dealer, had a batch that had been sold under the brand name "National". In the world of tubes, it is often the case that one manufacturer makes tubes for another who does not want to re-tool to add a particular tube to their line. These tubes were "only" $110 because they carry a different brand name. These tubes are circa early 1950's but look like they were made yesterday.

BTW: Berning claims that tubes last 10 years(!) in the ZOTL under "normal use", so you will not likely ever need to replace the tubes.

Of course original box and manual is included along with stock tubes.

Price is $700, $50 less than a new unit with stock tubes. In addition to saving $50 off the list for a nearly new unit, you get $200.00 worth of NOS tubes for free, and you save yourself the agony of researching to find the right tube and a safe place to buy them.

Also, I can ship now, but if you order a new one, you may have to wait to have it built (i waited 2 weeks for mine).

Cheers.

I have to give a big plug for this amplifier. This is one heck of a tube amp and it is a steal with the better tubes for $700.
