Hey all,

 

Up for sale is the Audio Technica M50S Limited Edition (LE) Headphones that I recently got as a gift. It was given to me as a gift as the person knew that I was an avid headphone lover, and while of course I appreciated the gift, there was no way I could appreciate these headphones or give them enough use with my higher end headphones around.  I could have return it or sold brand new in box, but the curiousity got the best of me as there were some words around the forum about how these sound different to the normal M50's (which I've had in the past). So I opened it used it for about an hour, max. My thoughts on the whole M50 vs M50LE issue? I don't think there's any difference between the two soundwise at all, but that's for another thread. Receipt is included so that you'll be fully covered by the warranty.

 

Anyways, I'm looking for $140 all-inclusive (shipping within NA and fees included) on this headphone. Local pick up here in Toronto area would be great and preferable in which case I could do it for $120. Don't forget that these are essentially brand new near-new out of the box, used only for an hour. Good enough deal IMO. Lowballers will be ignored, and I'm not looking for trades at the moment.

Constructive criticism: 

 

Can't be brand new an open product, hypothetically you could easily switch them for another pair.  

 

Besides, they are cheaper on Amazon.

Do note that I said "essentially" brand new, I did mention here that I opened them, used only for an hour, so yeah. Semantics wise it's a misleading description though, I agree, and I'll go edit that, thank you.

 

As for the price, do note that I am in Canada, and the last time I checked, Amazon do not ship headphones up here to the Great White North (as much to our dismay; there's some truly fantastic deals there), and even if they did, there would be duty fees involved driving the price up. Up here in Canada these are $200 after taxes brand new, thus I think $120 (locally) is fair for a pair out of the box used only for an hour. The extra $20 covers shipping, nothing I can do about that unfortunately. Your link is also the regular M50 version, and although I do think the two versions sound the same, there's still the aesthetic differences and limited edition status to account for (meaning that eventually these silver versions will be discontinued and those who like silver won't be able to find it as easily).

 

I do agree that this wouldn't be as much of a deal for the folks outside of Canada (at least until that amazon deal expires I guess?). That's why I always write that I prefer local deals wink.gif.  If anyone can find a local deal for a near-new M50LE elsewhere I may very well consider matching that.
