What DAC is in my phone?

I have a SG3. It is on Cricket(laugh all you want. I get great coverage and it's $55 a month)wink_face.gif

I have seen people say the North American GS3 has a Wolfson, and some say it isn't. Plus you have to toss in the mix that my phone is a Cricket and even if the NA GS3 has a Wolfson, did they save a couple of bucks on the Cricket phone and put in a lesser DAC?

Thanks in advance!

The NA S3 does not have a Wolfson, this is confirmed. Can't recall the DAC off the top of my head, its the one that is bundled with all the S4 dual core SoC, doubt they will have put a different DAC in there.

Thanks.Time to get a DAC/AMP

Any suggestions around the $150-250 price tag. Should I wait for the Fiio e18? That is a ways off, IIRC. What should I get in the meantime?
