Help me start a new hobby.

Hey.
I need preferably closed, over ear headphones. Id consider myself a basshead, and listen to Dubstep,DnB and the likes.
Budget is 200$.
Even though I said over ear, I like the M80 alot with its reviews and design.
Any help appreciated

Do you have an amp and if not are you willing to buy one? The denon d2k used to be the defacto recommendation for your criteria but now it's d/c and selling for way over retail.

Thank you, was thinking about getting the E7 and M80 forgot to mention.
Any more recommendations besides the Q40, or can anyone second it?

Yeah, before I saw the M80 I thought about the M50, but as a teenager ( 16 years old) the M80 design draws me in.
In terms of sound and build quality, which if the three is better? ( 80 vs 50 vs Q40 )

^^ If the vmoda is really what you think you'd take a liking to then you should save and get the m100. Tyll over at innerfidelity says REALLY good things about them being one of the most fun listens he's had in some time.

Nah...I cut grass all summer when I was 15 and bought one of the best sounding receivers and speakers that I've ever owned. biggrin.gif

You'll have to make a decision:  Looks or sound?

I greatly prefer the M50 sound over the M80's. 

 

If you're looking for bass and quality sound for $200, go with the Beyer DT 770 Pro.
