The Accudio app by golden ears, a headphone revolution. - Page 12

I totally agree with you johnwu. I'm sure by now many users must have emailed them about the issues with Accudio Pro but I've been waiting for an update since my purchase of the app but none yet unfortunately.

The way I see it, they need to buckle up if they want to progress. At the present moment I'm afraid Accudio Pro is definitely a hit and miss app. Good initial idea and concept but failure at follow up and improvement mad.gif

For android there's another app called Viper4Android that can load correction profiles for different headphones.

Correction profiles are available for a small but growing collection of headphones maintained by yours truly wink.gif

Unfortunately rooting is a must but on the plus side, when it works properly, it works for any android app that makes noise through your headphones biggrin.gif

Thanks for the info Joe Bloggs but unfortunately rooting is required.

I purchased Accudio Pro over a year ago and it was working pretty good with my iphone 4 (IOS 6)

The two main advantages were:

1. Ability to play lossless files such as .WAV and .FLAC files providing improved audio clarity

2. Much more flexible EQ for very fine manual tuning (not the easiest to use but certainly excellent and ubber flexible)

The main downside was uploading files often requiring much renaming of songs (tagging) in order to easily find them in the library... To me, although uploading new lossless albums was more time consuming, the overall sound improvement was still worth it, especially for $4.99

... 6 months ago, I had to upgrade my iphone operating system to IOS 7 and all of a sudden, SO MANY BUGS have been interfering:  "UNKNOWN" name symptom (despite retagging manually)... songs stopping in the middle of playing... the wheel of death... many pop ups such as "NOTICE: loading local files", "Creating local files dictionary", "no license recognized"... ... ... :confused_face_2:

Every time I use a function to either skip a song, switch to another album, or use any command to navigate, one window pops up and makes me wait for about 5 seconds before it starts playing !!!!!

In all fairness, the bugs are probably more due to Apple's latest IOS than Accudio's original App programming but it's been 6 months already and still no bug fix in that regard

I hope Accudio doesn't give up on the wonderful potential this App could offer and that until the bugs are fixed, potential buyers using iphone 4 with IOS7 make an informed decision of what they are getting into...

Thanks for reading!

Yes, I'm also having the same problems in ios7 but Accudio Pro can't be bothered to answer emails and let alone update the app to iron out the bugs for ios7 users

Let's hope these last posts motivate them to do something about it...

I gave up on accudio.
I use flacplayer, it also gets updated whenever it needs it. Optimized for the latest os of course.

OnkyoHF is quite good also.

Looks like there is two versions:

$9.99 version and free version Flac Player+ (which looks surprisingly identical to Accudio Pro's aesthetic!!!), worth a try, thanks!

Just downloaded the free version and it does not have any EQ. It does have a google ad on the bottom of the screen though!

Other than that, sounds great and looks just like the Accudio Pro!

Looks like I can get for another $9.99 what I thought I got for $4.99 a year ago!!! (I really wonder if Accudio sold the license and disappeared on me before fixing the bugs... oh well...)

Hmm, not sure why some of you are having issues with iOS7, but Accudio Pro runs great on my iPhone 5 and I love it.  It seems to be the only DSP headphone EQ system that controls the digital output via Lightning connector.  I tried Bongiovi's DPS and no go, headphone out only.  I love what Accudio does for my music when I'm on the go.

Good luck to you Ableza

I'm having an invalid license issue with the free version :-(

To be honest I'd stay far away from Accudio Pro because the developer never bother to answer their emails and has no interest to rectify users' problems let alone updating the app

I suppose.  But me, I installed it, it works, I like it, no need to email anyone.  :)  The Etymotic HF5 setting is fantastic with my HF3's.

That's why I wished you luck that you won't run into the same problems like the rest of us wink.gif
