The Accudio app by golden ears, a headphone revolution. - Page 11

I just bought the Accudio Pro app yesterday and to my disappointment Fischer Audio's DBA-02 MkII reference EQ setting is not there

Try something similar just for kicks. I used the profile of the Sennheiser IE8 on my Aurisoncs ASG-2 and the corrected EQ setting sounds fantastic. Try the Shure SE425 baseline with that one. In either case it won't be exact but at least you have an auto-EQ reference point for now while waiting for them to add that one.

Thanks for the tips ProtegeManiac, I'd probably try it with Phonak PFE112 's setting which is quite close to the DBA-02 MkII and then tweak further to taste.

Hi Guys, Would be nice we prepare your own equalizer at export. but unfortunately such an option is not active yet. I hope that in the new version would.

I'll use Apple Earpod. I'll suggest waiting for your settings. Thanx

Don't forget to shoot them an email to add the DBA-02 in the future. BTW, are you on iOS7? Mine crashes like hell and no updates yet.

Yes I'm on iOS 7 and the Accudio Pro is still quite buggy for example the music stops playing every time I come out of sleep mode. I need to close then restart the app again to resume playing. That's truly unacceptable. Other than that the EQ for Etymotic ER4PT, ER4S, Phonak PFE112, PFE232 works wonderfully. I'm not a fan of the simulation mode though. I think it's more of a gimmick than anything else.

My other gripe is that the file loading implementation on Accudio Pro is very inefficient. I have to load files album by album. After each bunch of files are loaded, Accudio Pro takes a long time to index them in a folder of it's own given name without the artiste's name. I CAN't even change the name of the folder!!! So much for customisation. I've used another app called "Golden Ear" (not related to Accudio Pro's Golden Ears) for playing back all my audio files and it's so simple to load files. All I need is to use iFunBox to load the files with the folder name of my choice. Better still I can just drag all the folders into it and it doesn't need to reindex anything at all. All folders, file names and album art appears as it is without the app taking it into it's own world and outputting folders of it's own name and without the artiste name.

We paid for the app and therefore we should be given the rights to customise our folders, album art and so forth. On top of the above mentioned problem, the app is actually very laggy. I'm not trashing the Accudio Pro app but honestly, if they're serious about going mainstream then they should keep updating their app so that the app will be more seamless and appealing to the general public.

Oh btw, I've also emailed them for the DBA-02 MkII reference EQ setting and I have yet to receive a reply from them.

I have that to say about any iOS app thanks to iTunes. My Android smartphone is a lot easier to use and I really don't understand the "user friendly" feedback about Apple products when I can load albums on an SDCard, and not only can the music player/s installed read them after one scan, but any music players I install (to try out) later on will just do the same thing. On iOS, if you install a new music player, you have to run it on iTunes, then load every album one by one. Then, if you add too many in a row, it will freeze - unlike in Windows I just drag folders out of my master Music folder to another window, they're copied, I pull out the SDCard, and Android works properly. I don't even get any issues with tags and album art on Android, whereas I have all sorts of these problems on iOS devices. If Apple was designed as a relatively closed system to make everything run smoother, then how come it's the open source one that has apps that has no issues with my friggin' files?!

Now if only freaking Android would stop telling me that "Mad Magazine is not available in your region" so I can replace this damned thing with a Note 8...but then again, I have no idea how that is driving my ASG-1. At the very least, I still enjoy reading on the iPad because, even without Accudio, it's fantastic for driving these earphones as far as not using an amp or dedicated player like the DX50 is concerned.

Yeah, if Accudio could just release an update for the bugs, at least that's one less issue for me.

ProtegeManiac, I think you missed out this part below. I was referring to another iOS app called "Golden Ear" (not related to Accudio Pro's Golden Ears) that can playback FLAC+APE+WAV+WavPack+AIFF+ALAC+MP3 files.

Btw I can use iTunes or iFunBox to transfer the music to my iDevice but iFunBox (Windows & Apple MAC OS compatible app) is so much easier because I can just drag folders into "Golden Ear" app and the folders instantly appear in the "Golden Ear" app without all the weird mumbo jumbo that Accudio Pro is doing. In fact the file transfer into "Golden Ear" is so seamless that it's like transferring files to an external drive. The "Golden Ear" app does not exhibit any lag at all but the only thing missing is EQ.

I was referring to how music loading is usually done on iOS apps (and deleting them on the device itself before one runs iTunes again to load other files) including AccudioPro, FLACPlayer, and that other one that kinda tries to be Accudio and NeutronMP, and all the others, prior to my reading about that Golden Ear app, which like you pointed out doesn't have AccudioPro's custom EQ correction profiles, which in turn doesn't make it worthwhile given all its iOS7 bugs.

why don't they develop this on android

Just so you know that there are far easier ways to load music files into third party music apps on the ios devices other than iTunes. iFunBox is one of them. My point is that Accudio Pro should make their file implementation as easy and seamless as Golden Ear music app although the Golden Ear app does not have any EQ but the file implementation is fantastic and it's super stable. I'm not trying to compare both the apps but simply pointing out that Accudio Pro should learn from a simple app like Golden Ear on the file implementation part. Accudio Pro should make things simpler, less buggy and more stable for their paying customers and not make life difficult for them. It's irrelevant whether Golden Ear has EQ or not. That wasn't my point.

You're right bravobs, they should if they want to capture a bigger market. From what I observe, they're not a very motivated company because they're not even bothered to support their existing customers (me included) who's been having countless problem with their unstable app. They're not even bothered to reply their customer's email let alone help them. The way I see it, they need to buckle up if they want to progress. At the present moment I'm afraid Accudio Pro is definitely a hit and miss app. Good initial idea and concept but failure at follow up and improvement mad.gif

Yep, Developer never answer all mail and support requiests. Accudio have a normalizer problem. some tracks have distortions.

Let's wait and see if they respond to this
post #165 of 195
I am afraid Accudio just made a quick buck by developing this app and left the paying customers in the cold. I have been waiting for an update for my B&W P7 and I am still waiting.
