Please see this thread:

http://www.head-fi.org/t/642741/denon-ah-d600-for-sale-price-drop#post_9013469

I sent the payment ( $295 as I been told ) to garrett21 for Denon AH-D600 on Dec 27,2012.

He asked for to cover fees or send the payment as a gift. He had two positive feedback from sellers, so I did trust him at that time and sent it as a gift. I haven't had any problem on Head-Fi in the past, because all of the members I have met before are honest indeed.

After the day that he received my payment, He ignored me when he was online and has not yet reply me once.

I contacted Currawong to help me to remind him, but no respond is given from garrett21

Now it is already a week ago, He has not ship the item yet and keep ignoring me on purpose.

It is my first time of being scammed, and I'm warning you guys to stay away from him!

BE AWARE: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM garrett21

1000

After he had the payment, he continued to sell the D600 by dropping the price down. I mean really?? You are going to sell that twice?

Man, that sucks.  This is why they have honking signs to not send payment as gifts (besides for the legal issues as well.)  In this case, a measly $10 would have given you some protection.  Hope you get your money back or your headphones.

I send the payment based on the member's feedback. I have never thought that he could be a scammer.

Now I learn this lesson by throwing the money... Won't ever do that again...

sorry to hear that, when i check his feedback, he was buyer not the seller, so i think you should have not send him the payment as gift.

i think he might be busy during on holiday so keep sending messages to him.

i hope that everything works out for you.

also try to call paypal if they have any solution for your situation.

Paypal has no solution for those who send as gifts.  Especially when they are actually purchasing goods via gift which is against their ToS.

After Currawong took the "action", he finally replied me once and said it would be out on Monday..

I won't not do the same mistake again.

I'll close this thread if he did sent me a payment.

It is a good experience for me but definitely a lesson that we all must aware of.
