Finally got my O2, and I gotta say, you were right, O2 amp is quite bright, and it is kinda too bright for the A900x on certain songs, but I gotta say it made some female vocal shine!

 

Definitely bringing it for comparison

Thanks to everyone that responded so far. Also, let us know if there are any last-minute considerations. We'll try to accommodate as many requests as we can.

 

We are responsible for providing our own power strips and extension cords. Please bring a sufficient amount for your rig. 

 

We always seem to run out of power strips at these events, so if you have any extras that you can bring just in case, please bring them to help out the cause. There are a lot of electronics to be plugged into a limited number of wall outlets, so the more plugs your power strip can accommodate the better.

I remember the last meeting being really fun :) 

Can I attend just to interact with fellow hp enthusiasts and audition some stuff without actually contributing anything to the meet?

I've been wanting attend but this is the first time that's closest to me.

 

I'll bring along a number of portable sources (iPhone 5, Galaxy S3, PlayStation Vita) and desktop sources (Fiio D3 w/ Wolfson chip and MacBook Pro) so you can check the two amps out in all possible situations. I think you'll quite like the Fiio D3 + O2 pairing. It adds that extra warmth that O2 is missing... though it won't do much for bass.

 

For headphones, I'll be bringing along my trusty ES10 with leather earpads (will bring original earpads as well if I have the room for them). I think you'll also enjoy them quite a lot. They're like smaller A900X with more noise isolation and a bit less treble energy.

Who is the designated Photographer for posting to Head-fi?

Fellas, the organizers have posted a number of times that anyone who wants to just drop by and listen, say hello, first-timers (like me), etc. is WELCOME to come. See you there. 

 

I'll probably bring my camera again this year, but plenty of people snap pics throughout the day during the two meets I've been to.  

I quite literally will probably have no way of playing music from the Gungnir to the Mjolnir. If somebody has a laptop they could loan for my half of the table that would be awesome. Obviously I'm a good guy and I'll grab you lunch/beer for your generosity.

Otherwise you're all going to hear the Mjolnir in single-ended operation from my Audio GD LOL.
