I recently purchased a set of akg nc490's to use on the go. I'm powering it with a cmoy v2.03 with the nc turned off. For some reason, I'm hearing some crackly sound with the volume set at about 1/3 with the bass boost off. Should I be using these headphones with an amp or should I just stick with with using my iPhone? Thanks for any input.
