So what is it? 15-day money back guarantee minus shipping costs? Or is it some re-stock fee? No idea, I've never done it, but I'd assume money back guarantee means cost of the product.
Edit: 5% transaction fee, gotcha just read the site

Whew head-fi is nowhere near the best way to contact me. Just google my brand for my contact info in the future, I don't want to clog head-fi with my business. I'm just here to talk about audio with everybody else.
I did respond to your PM's though :)

The Bifrost is a good DAC, however the Gungnir is a pretty good step up. Without an DAC upgrade any future amp would be hampered.
The Mjolnir is the best value of those choices, esp w/LCD-2. The Burson should not be considered at all.
Upgrade your source and go with the Beta22, since you're getting a hookup.
How bad of a source if the NFB-12? I'd imagine for $220 you're not getting everything but I figured DAC's should be cheap items, or at least cheaper right?
What source are yall recommending? I know the theory of poo-in, poo-out applies but I'm especially supersticious about digital source purchases. I'm like an old man stuck in a cute 24 year old asian guy (im totally kidding).
He says the Mjolnir is better, but the Beta22 would be less moneyz
Doesn't scootermafia have a fully decked out 4 channel b22? I recall reading his initial impressions on the Mjolnir and how that compared favourably. Is this the same b22 he's now offloading for less than the MJ?

I knew I shouldn't have said that lol.
Yes, I didn't want to talk about it at length but he did mention it's about as sick of one as you can get from what I remember.
I wouldn't mind having a B22 but if the Mjolnir is better, it's better, right? I'm one of those dudes who can't sleep at night because I didn't spend that extra 10% to get that last 2%.
It sounds like I'm ballin' with fat money stacks because I'm discussing the best gear and I'm a rather young guy, but I pinch pennies in every way I can to save up. It's been a while since I've purchased anything audio related.

Don't think better/worse would be the correct way of comparing those two amps. Maybe just different.
Ballin? Fat money stacks? Best gear? Don't know about you but I wouldn't refer to that gear as the best, it sure is great value though.

Quote:Here was my thought process $830 (v100) vs $1k (v200) is not a huge difference in price so I just sprung for the v200. =D
I think when you get to a certain level, we all just spring for the slightly 'better' one and no one really has much experience with the v100.
I LOVE my v200 with the LCD2 (even compared with the WA6-SE, which i prefer with the HD650).

Ha I knew what you meant mate, it was more rhetorical than anything. Chances are I'm not much older than you, or younger. But in regard to the 'best' amp and other amps clearly bettering others -- I just think of that as a too much of a personal thing to slap those kinds of labels on amps. Each to their own/has their own taste.
More on topic, I ended up pairing my LCD2 with the V200 and couldn't be happier. It seems like a pretty neutral combination with well extended, tight bass (best I've heard). Detailed in all areas and highs definitely don't sound rolled off to me. They sound like highs should sound, not peaky or ear-piercing, just natural and easy to listen to (coming from K701).Return HomeBack to Forum: Headphone Amps (full-size)- Schiit Mjolnir, Burson HA-160D, or Violectric V100
