i dont know how much stax gets but i would guess 2-2.5k/pair

Ummm that is less (IMO)

In India people uneducated in the field of audio buy expensive stuff like the 800's without even knowing what they posses its absolutely ridiculous - LOL

I am sure that the number seems a bit too less , there are many rich people who buy stuff unknowingly so I assume the figures should not be that less :)

Perhaps but the serial numbers are always attached to the headphone and I haven't seen any exact serial number matches through any distinct regions. I think the current range in production is about 23xxx and the SR-009 will definitely cross the 1500 units line in a few months.

For sure. My h800 (purchased recently) is in the 21xxx range an I have personally seen 22xxx models.
