I got my HD-598 the other day after reading all the rave reviews here and I am very happy that I did.
The only thing I would want to change about the HD-598 is the cable.
The stock cable is nice but it's way too long for my application and I am looking for options to change it out.
I want to build a new cable that will plug into the headphone without doing a complete re-cabling described in the re-cable threads here in Headfi.
My question is that is there any place where I can buy a blank (solder-on) connector that is the same as the stock connector that locks into the left side headphone?
I like to keep things stock so this will be the cleanest way to get a new cable on my HD-598.
I am also open to cutting a spare original cable and make my own cable using the stock locking plug.
So, question #2 is if the stock cable is available for sale as a spare part?
Thanks in advance for any info on this!
