Do series count? The Touhou games and many of it's various spin-offs are pretty great, though I can't 1cc any of the main games past easy. ;_;

During the Steam Summer Sale I bought Kerbal Space Program. Even though I don't understand how to build proper rockets, it's still a lot of fun to experiment with.

This thread deserves a bump for Kickstarter project, Project Phoenix.

Any JRPG fans here? I grew up on the classic SNES titles.

Phoenix seems so promising.

Bastion is a great recent one. Had a lot of fun with Magicka playing co-op with my girlfriend too.

Minecraft is one. Occupied me for 2-3 years which is an eternity in terms of video games.

Katawa Shoujo is another (free doujinshin which I guess is the Japanese version of Indie Games). Best visual novel/game I've ever played, even stimulated me the stoic into near-tears.

Katawa Shoujo is very good. I've only played the Emi tack but I'd like to play the others soon too.

Osmos is one I often go back to.  Very enjoyable to just kick back and relax.  Plus the 'ambient' soundtrack is very cool.
