As you can see everything you need to get the job done.  As I noted in an earlier post, happy to see the addition of the bite block.  A friend (and former band member) had agreed to be my assistant, but unfortunately we couldn't get something scheduled so my wife helped.  Even though she was nervous, everything went surprisingly well.  Here are the finished impressions:

Even my wife was impressed with how deep my canals are.  I packaged everything up and sent it back to Rob.  I got USPS confirmation that it was delivered yesterday.  I went ahead and insured the package because I was sending my Shure's back and didn't want to take any chances.

And now the waiting begins!

lookin good buddy.

now rob will take care the rest.

I have gone the clear, and yes the first time there were a few bubbles in them. Personally I didn't mind and didnt really noticed until someone asked me in the thread did they have bubbles.

IMO if you like the trans blue just do it smily_headphones1.gif

Also I would strongly recommend paying the extra to get an audiologist to do the impression. Yes you can do them yourself, but in my experience you just can't do it as good as the professionals.

Also it helps Rob out by giving him the best mould to work with and enables the best result.

If you do it yourself and it is wrong, you will waste 5 weeks only to be dissapointed with the result and then Rob (being the nice guy he is) will offer to re-do them for you so your happy but the real issue is the initial impression.

I think it cost me $40 AUS to get my impressions done by an audiologist and it was well worth the extra expense.

Brandon: your story sounds simar to mind and I have nothing but praise for Rob. My only issue is I live in Australia so it takes a while with shipping! Hopefully my issues are resolved this week when my new set arrives!

Thanks, I am pretty much ready to pull the trigger on the translucent light blues. Been calling around and found an audiologist recommended on JH's website who actually uses CIEM's himself that is willing to do impressions for $50. Hoping to book an appointment by the end of this week and having them shipped this weekend. I remember reading somewhere that the size of moulds can change? Is this true? If so i will probably pay extra to have them shipped quicker

The only thing I fear is - how do you know how far to put the foam blocker? Yours are in really far. Is there a rule of thumb? Or do you wait until there is excruciating pain?

My goal was to get them deep enough so that the bloks were just barely visable when you looked into the ear. I'll be the first to admit that tere is anfinenlie between deep and "Oh Crap, my ear drum just ruptured!". I inserted the block to where it felt like it as deep and had my wife look in with a flashlight. You can do tips yourself with a mirror. Once the block was barely visable, I stopped. If you have any doubts. I would either jut go with shallower impressions or go to an audiologist. Your hearing is too important to risk damage.

One great thing I noticed over the week.

Rob has been responding to e-mails over the weekend as well!! .. earlier I had to wait till Tuesday morning(IST) to get a reply from Rob on an enquiry I sent on Friday. Probably that the business is booming.

Even In-earz is slow and unamicable in their replies from my experience.

Also this is what Rob posted on FB.

Hello everyone. I haven't had time to do an update in two weeks! It's 2:46 am Sunday and I am running to Wal-Mart so I can get temporary soldering station. Only 6 more hours until the day starts again:)

Tomorrow is an exciting day because Jason my third partner will be working full time. Jason is a big believer in what we are doing here and left a well paying career to join me. Your support as customers has helped me get to this point and I am using the resources to improve infrastructure and provide the best product in as fast a time as possible for a wonderful price.

The cart on the website is finally fixed and it turns out it was an error I made which cost my tech many hours of labor. But everything is working right now and I can take orders. The options of colors and glitters will be added ASAP as well as the option to purchase new from me or on Amazon.

Ok well off to the store! I have some emails to answer too which will be on Monday. Thank you to everyone, Rob.

Went all crazy and sent my R-50 for reshell to Rob, if that works out I am going to get banned at head-fi for trumpeting In Ear Custom in all threads possible irrespective of forum! Also took one of the most expensive courier services in the country to get the IEMs to Rob. He is such a great guy!

Suggested him to try something other than USPS Priority ... may be registered will be cheaper for him and safer for us. Muthafooking INDIAN POSTAL COWfyuks! I wish the guy who stole my CIEM dies of acrylic brain poisoning.

Oh and .. one more name change to go tongue.gif

Alright guys, just sent out my impressions ($30 from audiologist) and TF10's to Rob today. If all goes well he should receive them by Friday! Can't wait to get em back!

Just got an e-mail from Rob confirming that he has received my R-50 and ear moulds! ..The waiting starts. Rob has just posted this on FB : "Hello! It's 12:35 Monday night. We got a lot done today although some of it is not immediately apparent. But we will ultimately have more done tomorrow and the next days due to a lot of the work we put in today. We are really coming together as a team. Jason is very organized and is helping take the helm of the shop. I have a hard time handling the shop and the internet communications and work. I am still doing the web work due to budget constraints; having more staff in the shop means I am doing the online work. We had a meeting today and decided to reduce our prices back to the original 119 except for the 535 which will be 124.99. We slowed sales by increasing prices and we are now a couple weeks from getting delivery times to normal and also for the sake of injecting some more resources into the business. We are increasing stated delivery times to 15 business days or more. We are about 2 weeks away from being able to consistently meet these timeframes due to the current backlog. Thank you so much for your support! Rob."

Are any of you guys seen or chooses the ue900 style cable? I'm thinking of sending my tf10 right now and I'm deciding between the original cable or the ue900 style.
