These albums were, and still are, ahead of their time.

Air - Moon Safari

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Vol 2

Autechre - Tri Repetae++

Fluke - Risotto

Global Communication - 76:14

Hybrid - Wider Angle

Leftfield - Leftism

Massive Attack - Blue Lines / Mezzanine

Orbital - Orbital II / In Sides / Snivilisation

Portishead - Dummy / Portishead

The Crystal Method - Vegas

The Future Sound of London - Lifeforms / Dead Cities

The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land

Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman / Second Toughest in the Infants

These albums are more or less gone but not forgotten to me. I haven't listened to GC's 76:14 in years, and the last time I did it wasn't as great as I remembered (except for the first track.

Blue Lines and Mezzanine are still great, especially the BL 2012 Mix/Master that just came out.

I never really warmed up to that Aphex Twin album, maybe I need to give it another spin.

The Lifeforms 2CD album, especially the second disc, is really exceptional.

IMO they never equaled (or surpassed) it, either as FSOL or Amorphous Androgynous.

The Fragile is the BEST ALBUM OF THE 90s, hands down, no question. And one of the best EVER.

And, no, Californication would probably be top 30, but I really think BSSM is QUITE overrated.

Maybe because every idiot who has listened to Under The Bridge thinks it's their best song. I can name you 10 great songs from it. It's the 2nd best album of the 90's.

HEY EVERYBODY!! I PREFER 128 MP3'S THAN FLAC, AND LOVE THE EQ ON IPODS. AND CALIFORNICATION IS THE BEST ALBUM IN SOUND QUALITY!

Just kidding, now that I have your attention, take a look at my editing skills in Wikipedia.

(I know this has nothing to do with the thread, but it will probably make you laugh).

God, Around the World's intro riff would be so face melting if Rubin didn't butcher it.
