Hi,

I have a pair of new-in-box, never-been-used Sony XBA-3s for sale.

 

These were originally purchased as a spare for myself. But I've decided that I'd rather divert some money into a new portable amp.

Shipping via EMS worldwide is Free, and I will eat all of the Paypal fees myself. Also the IEMs will be shipped in a box for protection.

In regards to feedback I've made two successful and hassle free purchases on Head-Fi, with me as the buyer. But none yet as a seller. I do however have a solid record as a seller on ebay:

...just FYI, they were on sale for $120-130 multiple times. unless you have a receipt saying otherwise there are rules for this.

I bought mine about 6 months ago new for ~$135-140 but that is in India and still retail for about the same price(http://www.head-fi.org/products/sony-xba-3sl/reviews/6921)

Same thing happened with the black friday deals for the TF10. Though the price has lowered over time, the retail price is still more than what they go for here.

xba3 go for less new on ebay. you said it yourself, purchased at $140... is that flipping? Dont mean to make a ruckus, just trying to help out. 

 

A custom remold of the xba3? Now that sounds amazing.

Concern noted, but I don't believe that I have posted anywhere that I've purchased these for $140, perhaps there was confusion with one of my posts recommending that getting one of these used for that amount which in my opinion represents still good value.


These are the XBA-3s not to be confused with the cheaper XBA-3iPs (I-phone controls). I've based my pricing against the lowest on ebay at the time of posting ($200-$210). They may be have gone down since then.

I am in Australia, and although there was a sale on the XBAs for Christmas, these were certainly not purchased from that retailer. These were purchased on Holidays in Japan last year, and the non-Australian packaging verifies that these. I can dig up a receipt for the buyer or email a page from my passport for further verification.

They are amazing phones for anyone who gets them.

That's alright, the more information out there, the better it is for everyone beyersmile.png

I'm not sure why the iphone version is cheaper at the moment. From memory it retailed for $10 more than the the standard XBAs. Perhaps people who are willing to purchase a good set of earphones don't see the value of phone controls? To be honest I have the irrational belief that the controls affect the sound quality, which is why I avoided the iphone version.

Shipping worldwide from Australia is $30, so I'll be eating at least $35 worth of costs for this sale.

I hear that. I have heard some say such things about mic/control phones, so with that in mind it makes yours a safer bet.
