Multiple Micro SD slots? - Page 2

Prolly 8. However, They could easily put 500GB of flash memory inside of a player, with room for a sd card slot or two and it would fit in your shirt pocket. Flash memory is small and relatively cheap.

Heck, Sandisk -makes- memory.. *shakes head*

You still need room for a battery....lol. And by now you're talking a player that would be too heavy for a shirt pocket, unless your shirts are made of Spandex....

But do you listen to all of it? That was my point with my 80GB iPod.....everything in my lossy collection that I might want to  listen to on any particular day is on it.....and I have probably another 50-odd GB that I never listen to. Just can't bring myself to delete it, just in case.....

Memory card slots aren't heavy, and memory cards are also quite light. A high capacity battery does have some weight, however a battery is needed whether the player has one slot or more than that. Ideally I want the shirt pocket sized player to be under 4 ounces.

Well, they didn't make a new player this past year. I actually would prefer the Clip to stay the same size...as my on-the-go player it is the perfect size and weight. At home though, I've grown to prefer my 5.5G iPod Video's line-out to E11  sound slightly over the sound of the Clips whether or not the E11 is added to the Clip or not. There's just a little bit more fullness and warmth to the sound...without sacrificing clarity.

uhhh, yes. I'm much more of a musicphile than I am audiophile. I keep my collection very clean. There is nothing in there that I keep around, just in case. All my collection is a mindful inclusion, I assure you. I'm  not the norm though.

It'd still be nice to see a player to accommodate people with large collections.

Well, first they have to make their software capable of supporting more songs in the database. I'm pretty sure the stock clip won't support 64gb's worth of mp3s.

Sansa should just start using rockbox software stock. Lol

i don't really like the zips. Got one for my girlfriend and preferred my +. Didn't like the screen. The oled is easier to read and longer lengthwise. Sansa sure does make some questionable "improvements" IMO.

With 4 32GB SD cards you'd get 128GB of memory. Tragically they haven't been on sale since 2009 

All I want-a DAP with a 2.5" HDD/SSD slot, and 3 outputs-headphone out, line out, digital out. Thats all. Oh, and really long battery life. Support for every format ever-or just shipped with RockBox. Not all that much to ask, really.
