I purchased the dBpoweramp Registered Reference Release 14.3 & compared a same flac lossless track converted to 'ALAC'. the media info of both the files are quoted below.

DIFFERENCE: The main disadvantage I noticed that, the foobar2000 conversion doesn't keep the embedded artwork(artwork) whereas dBpoweramp keeps the album art & metadata tags intact. As there is no difference in main audio stream bitrate, I think I'll stick along with the dBpoweramp for lesser efforts. :)
