Oddball...

That statement whilst being almost universally true, is not true in the case of the D211... the headphone out definetly sounds better than the line out...

The D465 is another strange one to me, because the headphone out and the line out sound almost totally identical... strange.

No, I haven't heard a DCP-150, and to be completely honest with you, probably never will.. I've kinda lost the bug... moved on. I guess its like selling your first car / leaving your first partner... lol, there is a certain amount of remorse going on (which is why i've bought two PCDPs this week ) but ultimately I know it has to be done...

Look up the FiiO X5. One of the few Lossless audio format players that are portable. Not to mention the internal amp drives extremely hard.
