Distortion with Fiio E10

I've tried searching, but haven't found any solutions to the problem I'm having.

My e10 worked fine for about a week.
But now, it's highly distorted half the time.  It sounds fine for 30 sec, then has almost a static/computery/distorted sound for 30 sec.

It goes back and forth between working and not working.

I'm running it out of my mac book with hd600's

My files are fine.

 

I don't know what the problem could be besides it's just something wrong with my e10.

Make sure that whatever is feeding the FiiO is at full volume.  This will reduce the risk of clipping the signal in the amp stage of the FiiO which is known to cause distortion.

 

Give that a try and report back.

 

If you use a PC turn the PC volume up to at least 75% and then use the FiiO as the volume control.  If the problem persists you may want to get someone from FiiO on the line and have them trouble shoot it with you.
