Need Help- Audioslave Self Titled CD

If anyone has this CD could you listen to the end of track 7(the last 20 seconds or so) "Shadow on the Sun"(through your headphones) and tell me if it sounds distorted in the bass and what not.  I listened to this CD on a couple different players including my computer and its on the CD. I thought  I had a gear issue....

I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but I went ahead and streamed that song on MOG to listen for what you are reporting.

 

I agree, during the last 20 seconds or so of that song, the bass does sound distorted. I think I can safely say it's not your equipment since I hear the same thing you are reporting in the music file the label provided to MOG.

I agree. It's a fantastic album. Cornell and the boys were delving into the spiritual side and looking at some deeper things. I just wish it was recorded better triportsad.gif.

I heard a brief screech at around 40 seconds to go, but nothing unusual in the bass. In the last half of the song, though, the bass is difficult to distinguish from the guitar, so maybe I missed it.
