I'm looking for a closed set since they can't leak much sound and won't be used in a super quiet environment. They will most likely be used unamped so something competent without one would be nice although I would also like there to be some nice improvement with an amp as I own two, just not in the area that these will be used most of the time. I listen to just about every genre and don't have a huge sound sig preference (I own modded fostex t50rp, denon d2000s, grado sr80is with l cush and tape mod, and akg k702s). The new set will likely be played through an IPOD or computer with a dedicated soundcard. I'm looking to spend around $150 on a set. Highest possible I'd go is $200. What do you guys think?
