Could I get help choosing a soundcard for gaming/music to go with my ATH-AD700s? My budget is about $120 or less.

I was thinking about the X-Fi Titanium HD, but I'm not sure.

My motherboard is an ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3, with a 2500k.

Can't do better than the Titanium HD for gaming, and it's arguably right up there close to the Asus Xonar STX/ST for music. Seems like the best fit for your needs.

You'd be mostly missing analog audio output quality, along with other little features.

To say exactly what little features you'd be losing depends on if you're moving to a cheaper X-Fi card or a cheaper card based on a different chipset, probably C-Media like the Xonar and HT Omega cards.

Whether you'd really benefit from the high-end cards like the Titanium HD, audio quality-wise, mostly depends on how willing you are to upgrade from the AD700. If you see yourself upgrading headphones down the road at all, the Titanium HD will be a better foundation.

I could see myself upgrading from the AD700s in the future, and the Titanium HD is 30% off on Newegg ($130 CAD) right now, so I think I'll jump on it.

Thanks for the help!
