is there even fake versions of these?

Where's the deal? Link? I don't think they'll be any fakes, but it might be possible that it's a scam of some sort.

Still trying to find it, with no luck. What's the price he's asking for?

sorry to threadstarter, xD

i am tempted to buy it but i wont, 330usd is kinda crazy for me like leaping from 30 to 330, i dont know what to do if i own a top end earphone and it stops working 1 day lol

are the UE 900s better than the 320usd dual drivers in this website?

Wouldn't it be too soon for a fake market for the UE 900? It's not like it is selling out with a mad rush or anything. I'd be more inclined to suggest that if this particular pair is sketchy, then it has been stolen (Not that I'm suggesting it is sketchy!!).

I think it's more of a scam than fake, historically I have never seen a fake UE IEM's

Don't know, 330 used isn't THAT outrageous, look at what the W4s go for used. If he's willing to ship across Canada, or it's just a local thing (new to kijiji), I might spring on them myself. Been looking forward to a contrasting flavour against my W4 .

The ad says "brand new retail box/never opened.  No GST/HST".  If that's the case, why wouldn't he just return them to the store?  Also, these sell for $400 in the Apple Store here, and HST on $400 in Ontario is 13%, which is $52.  So he's taking a $122 hit.

I'd be very wary here.  Not necessarily fake, but perhaps someone got a five-finger discount.

Just looked at the poster's other ads.  Lady Gaga perfume on Nov 23, then suddenly a whole bunch of unopened audio equipment on Dec 14th and 17th.  A B&W P5 for $180, and Bose QC3 for $280.

The address on a couple of those other ads is West Beaver Creek in Richmond Hill, which is primarily an industrial area.  I know of two electronics dealers there, both legit with competitive pricing, Electronics for Less and SIG Electronics.  SIG has the QC3 for $399.95, and the P5 for $299.95.  Electronics for Less doesn't carry these brands.

I don't get why you guys think it's an issue? No warranty will means it should be discounted and I'm often surprised at how much used items go for here. It's what the market will bear so fine but this guy isn't selling here and is treating it like any other second hand but new item. Look at his other items. He's likely got an Apple store discount source for returned or not wanted stuff. Normal precautions are still in order and some selling history is always nice.

Given the UE900 is fairly new to the market, and the box is not even opened, why would a seller be dumping it already?

just a kind reminder,

UE900s are sold in China for about 1800 RMB, from almost all the online retailers on TAOBAO.

Hope that helps.
