I'm in the market for another pair of headphones. My current go to pair are DT770s. I really like the level of bass in them but just want to little bit of an upgrade. These would be for my every day use gaming laptop. I want something that works well in gaming but performs even better in the music department. Typically like to listen to Jazz (bass lead), Classic Rock, a bit of House/Trance and  finally a mix of some old school Rap/Hip Hop. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

I'm assuming your using the DT770 Pro 250-Ohm headphones?

What make and model gaming laptop is it?

To me a step up in audio quality over the DT770s is the Audio Technica ATH-A900X.

Have a little patience and try to buy them used, on eBay or Head-fi "Headphones for Sale" thread.

I'm guessing once you get the A900X, you will just sell off the DT770s

Thanks for the suggestion! Are the  ATH-A900X and AD900 comparable? Would the  ATH-A900X still be the winner? I like bass but not overly saturated. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I find the bass on the A900X just fine the way it is, it has enough so as to say it has bass, but nothing that would be "in your face".
