Yeah, the typical smothered trebles that all fi tips presents. I just found the TSX to not have that bad of a case of it.

I am finding the VModa tips recommended by H2Oto  sound great.  I haven't really been switching things around much since putting them on.

I've been using H-100 stock tips with foam inserts recently on H-200.

Let me see...... These ol 'beasts, in blue. (large)

Anyway, I recently purchased Westone 4, I'm going against some others opinions I find them superior to H-200. especially when it comes to naturalness, smoothness, vocals and separation. I still like H-200 for their clarity. On first listen T-Peos certainly sound clearer, but better? Oh... I don't think so..... wink.gif Doesn't take long for someone sporting a highly advanced professional audiophile ear like myself to spilt them apart choosing a winner. tongue_smile.gif

So are these pretty much the best buy at the $250 pricepoint nowadays?
I've been reading the thread and everyone seems to unanimously agree that these are great... any doubters? Any competitors to these earphones too?

This will be twice this thread now lol:

I haven't heard the H200 but you can get the Heaven V around 250 and while probably very different to the H200, it's quite very good.

How much better will these sound w/ burn in?

not much burn in required. from my experience 50 hours will be enough, after that changes will be subtle..

Just came in the mail, build and quality is exceptional.

Now excuse me while I drown myself in musical bliss.

x2. I actually like the H-200 more than the 1Plus2.

The 1Plus2 has serious coherency issues, and the H-200 sounds more refined with a bigger soundstage.

Eke, come on, my 1+2 disagrees with you... but H200 is great no doubt. I think many people are picky about 1+2 because of steep price. I must confess I did not expect 1+2 to win me over but... What a mistake I did, since after hearing them my hand reached for the wallet wothout looking back.
Please put Beethoven 9th Symphony, it will answer all your questions for 1+2, this bu far my favorite torture test with classics.

I am happy to disagree because in the end we can hear things differently and prefer it this way but for once I can tell it again and again that my 1+2 became the final stop in IEM search at least for long until I can something really better. This is me and my opinion.

But never forget every good product can give a joy and H200 is supern reincarnation of hybrid on tiny budget.

NB: bloody iPad... But i am not to retype typos :-(
