Crossover doesn't play a role in the subbass as the dynamic handles that all alone, the crossover is in the 5k range. Part of the midrange is forward I agree, doesn't take away from the well extended bass.
IMO if anything I think these should have been around 150$ at most, but IEM pricing is all over the place nowadays.

What else would you recommend at a $200 - 250 price point? Aside from the GR07 and Re400... I don't seem to like the build of the Re400. Still waiting for the next big thing from vsonic.
If you're not obsessed with having unlimited detail, for presentation alone I'd recommend the FAD Heaven V.
I suspect I will get a bit of disagreement here.

I had a chance to listen to a few FADs including this one and top lone FAD if i recall it cortectly and none of them impressed me except for the design. i assume you pay for the design with Fad and overpriced Japanese labour but not much else.

I like the Heaven series. Heaven V aging and FI-BA-SS are both techincally competent and good for many genres particularly pop and vocal jazz. They sounded less fun but more natural to me than the H200.
The piano forte series though, especially PF X, I must say is not to my liking and as such I do find them overprice for what they do for me.
Let's not talk about your extremely astute assessment of Japanese labor.
You're being very vague but regardless, you're entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. I'll disagree.
High price of Japanese labour is not my fantasy but a hard economic fact, nothing against Japanese here, so please no pathetics, ok?
Got these
Packaging is nice, even though it's a bulky IEM, it's comfortable as insertion just needs to be shallow.
Sound wise. Bass is nice, well extended, do wish it had less midbass. Midhighs and treble sound funky. A bit too much crunch, lacks some definition and has a tinge of pierce. Soundstage is pretty solid, big, but not exceptional.
Kimvictor's review is spot-on and IMO these are definitely overhyped, I'll take the GR07 or RE400 anyday, both preference wise and from a technical standpoint.
