value for money = sound quality per buck paid in my book. i would not care about the IEM looks if sound quality is not good enough.

That's not what I meant. There's a number for SQ and a number for value, so the SQ figure is absolute rather than judged in relation to price.

It's there! It's a fact, not an opinion. Soundstage? I've never seen someone praise the H-200 for having outstanding soundstage either. I felt like it was a solid choice, and I did say that I do recommend these iems. Where are you guys getting the negativity?

Kim, take it easier....... grown up boys do like their toys. Nothing bad about your opinion and review, i might not agree with everything you had in it but i find it worth having some diverging opinion for the sake of truth finding mission.

''4'' is a solid mark but if you could just raise this a bit to 4.5 we, H200 owners, would feel happy as hell tongue.gif ...... KIDDING wink.gif

i tend to agree about soundstage, which is more close in your face than what you can hear from much more expensive siblings.... still for the price i have not heard any better, TF10 would sound closed and muffed in comparison, my EB50 would lack attack and clarity...

on trebles, i find this fine on H200, they can be a bit fatiguing on long listen but honestly speaking even my much loved 1+2 can be fatiguing on long listen too.

bass is very good for the price category too, actually low bass is very powerful and sweet, if only punch and detail resolve could be a bit better... where i bump sometimes into confusion is transiting from low to mid bass... i do not know if H200 has crossover but i would say this needs bit of tuning for me.

mids are pretty darn sweet on H200 but i would like have some more meat to them, this again brings us to mid bass and midtones tuning issue.

all in all i personally would rate H200 a 5 star for the price i paid and a 4.5 star IF assume a 300$ price. but that's me and i respect your review and findings.

NB: dude, i believe the only word in your review which trigerred some unrest here was ''overhyped''........ it's all about one word IMHO tongue.gifbeerchug.gif

not true in my book.

if i tell you 1+2 beats H200 by a lightmile on absolute sound quality basis would agree with me? hardly so... most likely you will point me to the steep price of 1+2 and cable ....... tongue.gif

I haven't heard it, but assuming it is that excellent, I'd certainly say so. The question of value would arise second, as in 'it's in another league, but I don't think the price difference should be that big.'

These are fine iems for the price though. Really fine... just that dip and peak.

I was a bit sad while reading kimvictor's review frown.gif Not that I'm offended or something but because I love my H200 so much. But this is coming from a guy who's next best IEM is the XBA3 and I haven't really listened to any other top tier IEMs. Because of that reality, I don't take any grudge against kimvictor's review since he's heard more top tier IEMs.

Side note: I do however disagree in the H200s being overhyped... as a matter of fact, I still wish more and more people get to try this amazing IEMs. I don't think it's really well known at the moment; I was probably the only one who's mentioned these in the Head-fi Facebook page!

For the price that I paid: $200, I couldn't be any more happier. It'll be a while before I start looking for an upgrade to my beloved H200s etysmile.gif

OK. I guess it's not really overhyped. I'll change the title. Any suggestions?

Overhyped among about five people, maybe...

I actually bought 3 units of XBA-3 for AUD 50 each... although i haven't heard them, i know it's definitely worth the price i paid. But i am curious how do you rate it and any feedback you might have =)

Warfare aside, do any of you guys know when T-Peos are releasing their upgrade cables for us?

Well it's definitely worth a lot more than what you paid so, congrats. I sent you a PM.

I also did a comparison review between the xba3 and h200 on this thread: http://www.head-fi.org/t/642308/t-peos-h-200-new-triple-hybrid-iem-appreciation-thread/825#post_9484218

Yes, got a reply from Kwon; they are finalising the product and will be available hopefully at the end of the month.

+100

i wish some people would listen to them and stop worry about more expensive offerings when they have not enough cash. H200 for us is what VW Beatle was for many 60ers wink_face.gif
