Why do you have good and/or expensive headphones? - Page 2

To be able to clos my eyes and 'feel' the musc in my head.a great pair of headphones just makes the enjoyment so much better of my favourite tracks.

Upgrading to better and more expensive headphones for me is always " well if these give me this great sound, I wonder what the next ons up will do?"

It's been a hobby and an obsession, also a science and an art. A certain level of intrigue and mystery finding where the road leads to. Maybe not something people set out to get into.

My reason is the same as wanting to elope with my girlfriend. Hearing good music releases dopamine. wink.gif

It's the same as any hobby. My sis always wonder why I buy expensive headphones (although it's just my own definition of "expensive" since most of my gear has a price limit of around 100-200$ only) Then I counter her with another question; why do you buy expensive perfumes? And she would just shun away. That's how it is for me. I buy them because this is my hobby and as long as I'm happy nothing would sway me away from it. happy_face1.gif

The nuances in music are what makes great music better than good music. Skullcandies and Beats leave out a lot of those! Its like fast food vs. fine dining: once you've had a burger at a five star restaurant, McDonald's just doesn't really satisfy anymore.

Oh, and also its really freakin' fun. L3000.gif
