Tell you the truth I miss my 80's. I love my MS2i's but they are a totally different headphone imo, and when I can I'm going to definitly purchase another pair of 80's!!! These two headphones will complement each other imo.

If you go the Grado SR-125i route, you need the Grado Mini Plug Cable to work with your phone/iPod.

The SR80i's beause I previously owned them and know exactly how they sound and there was just something really awesome about their sound signature to me. Plus I own the MS2i's and their sound signature is very different from the SR80i's and I would not want the same signature, although I've never heard the MS1i's I would only think they have the alessandro signature, I dont know, but I know the 80's.

Good move the 80's are an extremely raw, upfront, exciting headphone, you will hear the music like your right on stage with your favorite band. Good luck, and please let us know what you think of both headphones, A/B them.
