New DAP System around $500

I have run out of a lot of options for my old iPod Touch (too old to update iOS, 4.2.1 and cannot install any of the new EQ Apps). I am looking to start a new portable system, can be a one piece DAP but I like the option of multiple pieces so they are upgradable and could be used with other things (Computer, iPhone, etc.)

Requirements:

Creatable Playlists of some kind

Shuffle or Random option

High bit rate playback (FLAC etc.)

Good DAC

Nice Amp to power mostly IEMs (may go to cans at some point)

Customizable EQ (the more bands the better, love to mess with sound)

EQ profiles would be nice to accomodate different IEMs

I have heard iPod Classic, rockboxed, nice AMP/DAC but I am open to suggestions.

Current IEMs: Klipsch X10, Monster Turbine Pro Gold, VSonic GR02 BE, SoundMagic E10, TDK BA200

Thanks,

Have a look into the Walkman F800 series.

How is the Walkman DAC and SQ compared to say an iPod?
